...on to christmas :)

Jerry and Rosann arrived yesterday evening. We had a good day today, but the highlight of my day was buying our Christmas tree!! It was on sale at Wal-Mart for $20!! That was even more exciting. So we went and bought that this evening, and set it up, while listening to Christmas music :). It was nice. If you can't tell, I am very excited about Jeremy and I's first Christmas together, and getting to decorate our own place. Hope you enjoy some of the pictures.

Rosann helping with the tree!

Jeremy and I posing for the pic, since we missed the first opportunity :)

Putting on the tree topper! It is a little top heavy :)

Ahhh.....

Another angle...

Pretty tree :)

Shining Star!

Having fun...

Getting tired of these yet?? ;)

Yea!!!

The whole tree :)

Thanksgiving...

Jeremy and I had a pretty good day today. Since we couldn't be with family :(, his professor was nice enough to invite us over to have thanksgiving with them. It was us, and a couple other guys from the film department that couldn't go home for the holiday. So we went over there around 2 for a late lunch. We took green bean casserole, and cream cheese corn (the two things we are pretty decent at making :). They made a turkey, had apple pie, pumpkin pie, and yummy apple cider. I ate too much of the pies. I was doing just fine, until dessert :).

Jeremy and I then came home, to find out that I got called off work tonight. Not to many people want to have babies on Thanksigiving. I doubt it will pick up much this weekend, which isn't that great because I am scheduled the next two nights. One of Jeremy's friends was here for a while this evening playing video games with him. Poor guy is staying at the Super 8 here in town, because the university kicks all the students out of the dorms over thanksgiving break. Which I think is a horrible thing to do, because it is definitely not that long of a break for people who live far away to go home! One of his other friends slept in his car last night, because he couldn't be in the dorms. If I had known that, he would have been staying here, but too late now :).

Jerry and Rosann get here tomorrow night. We are really excited to have them here. At least we will get to see a little bit of family over the holiday. They don't leave until Wednesday, so we will have a good visit with them. We are going to have a thanksgiving dinner with them. I bought a turkey the other day, so that will be fun to cook that with his mom! We will probably do that Monday evening.

Jeremy and I set up the camera to take a couple pics of ourselves today, while we were kind of dressed nice :). There are also some pictures of the Indiana snow!!! Enjoy!!

The Fountain

"The Fountain". Good film. You should go see it. It definitely is a "Jeremy" type film, but I think I am starting to like those (not sure how I feel about that). It was kind of odd... after this movie Jeremy and I talked about the different camera angles, how they shot certain scenes, cinematography, and stuff like that. I feel like I am actually starting to understand why he likes some of the movies he does. This film actually made me think..and I usually do not like movies that make me think, but this one I did. I usually call these kinds of films confusing and mind-boggling, and Jeremy finds them, intriguing and thought provoking. I am only beginning to see his side :).
There is a lot of symbolism, that I still do not understand, but it was so well done. This was a beautiful film of love, life, death, eternity, dedication, desperation....although there are a few different stories going on at the same time, it all flows very smoothly. Anyways....there is my attempt to have a somewhat professional critique ;) Ha, ha. All that to say, I think you should see it, and I thought it was time for me to update on something. Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving!! We will be missing all of you, and wishing we were there celebrating with you, but we will see you at Christmas. Jeremy's parents are getting here on Friday of this week, and will be here until Wednesday, so that will be GREAT to have them here!! We are really excited for that.

Jeremy's work

I just wanted to show off some of Jeremy's work that he has been doing. He has been learning how to use the professional version of Adobe Photoshop, and he had to edit a picture of himself and remove all the "imperfections" I thought he did a really good job. And trust me, compared to everyone else in his class, I think his was the best. I could be a bit biased, but some of those people actually looked worse after photoshopping themselves. This is a before and after picture. (I wanted to get them side by side, but it didn't work.) Jeremy removed some of his freckles and the redness in his face. He shaved himself (although I don't know why he cannot seem to do that in real life ;). He slimmed his neck down a little, made his eyes bluer, and teeth whiter. He showed me how he did all this and it is sooo easy!! Now I see why every picture you see of a celebrity, they look so dang good. Thats why we have this skewed image of how we are supposed to look. Because but literally a click of a button you can make yourself skinnier, and tanner, etc....

This other picure, I took of him while he was driving to Ft Wayne, one day. He was TRYING to be funny, by acting like he was sleeping :). Well it came in handy for his project in class. He photoshopped in, one of my pictures from Hawaii underwater. I thought he did a good job! He even made the reflection in the side mirror. Well I just had to brag a little. Hope you all enjoy these! :)

Jecinta

This is Jecinta Waithira Njuguna. She is 5 years old and lives in Nachu, a town north of Nairobi in Kenya Africa. Jeremy and I are sponsoring her through Compassion International. I wanted everyone to see a picture of her, because we are so excited about this opportunity!! When you think of it, please remember her in your prayers.

Since Jeremy and I haven't found a home church, we had been praying about where to give our money to. This was laid on our hearts. We are supporting her monthly, and also supporting Compassion's AIDS Initiative program, since she lives in an AIDS affected community. This is going to give her the opportunity to hear the gospel and learn about Jesus. This will also give her an opportunity to receive an education. We are going to be writing her letters frequently, and someone from the Compassion organization that is based in that area, will read it to her, and help her write us back.

Anyways, we just wanted to show everyone another area of our lives that is very important to us! Please support us in praying for her, when you think of it! :)

I haven't known what to post about, because not much has been going on. Oh! We have had a stray cat running around. Which has been quite annoying for me. Jeremy has kind of liked it, because he likes cats. Me...not so much. So it gets thrown back outside everytime I see it. Then I noticed tonight, that our neighbors are trying to be nice to it, and have a bowl of milk sitting out by their door!! That is not going to get it go away!! Anyways.... Jeremy and I might have compromised on the kind of dog we want to get. Although can't get until we leave Huntington. He doesn't want a big dog, and I don't want a small dog, so I think we have compromised on a Beagle. Kind of medium size, but isn't yippy are barking all the time like small dogs. Unfortuntely our apartments don't allow pets, so this will probably be a purchase once we are back in Wichita.
Right now, I am in the lab at school with Jeremy, because he has to finish up his Public Service Announcement. I would be at work right now, but I got a call from our house supervisor at work saying that OB is closed, due to there being no patients. Isn't that lovely? So I am on call! Again! :) It wouldn't be so bad, if I wasn't the sole money-maker. So if you all could be praying for that. We cannot afford for me to continue to be downstaffed. And there really isn't anything I can do about there being no patients. And they must not need help on any of the other units, other wise they would float us. Anyways.....
These are some pictures of Jeremy and I in the lab. Doesn't he look cute with his headphones on? :) I tried to look cool with the headphones, but I just can't pull it off like he can :). The pics aren't that great because all I had to take them with was my phone.

Here is something new. Pretty sure I might be lactose intolerant. Which is NOT good for me!!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE cheese. Milk isn't too bad, because I don't like it, but I love things made with it!! And I love cheese and other dairy products. So this week I have been trying to go without eating any dairy. I started this on Friday, and I have felt much better since then. So if anybody has good non-dairy recipes you would like to give me, they would be much appreciated, because there is nothing in our freezer than doesn't have cheese on it!! You know, the easy fast to cook meals seem like they all have cheese!!

Well we are still on the church hunt. We went somewhere new today. We both really enjoyed it, which is definitely progress. This church is called The Good Shepherd Church (United Brethren Chruch). My friend Becky from work, and her husband go there, and they are both our age. So it was nice to be around a couple our age for a little bit. Everybody there was very very accepting and wonderful to new people. So we liked that :). I have never really been in the shoes of being a "new" person at a church. Now I realize how important it is to help them feel welcome. It really changes your whole experience there. But we both enjoyed the worship, the message and the people! So I think we are making progress. We still have a couple other churches we would like to visit. But this one today, is a possible keeper :) We were asking Becky and Travis if this church had a group for young married's and they said that they didn't but that they would be interested in starting a couples small group with us, if we were interested. So we both liked that idea also.

sad halloween

I was so excited for all the little kids to come, in their cute little costumes and I was going to give them a lot of candy. And none of them came. I have a bowl full of kit-kats and crunch bars, which unfortunately now, Jeremy and I will probably eat, and we don't need that! These children will really regret not coming to our apartment, because they would have gotten a lot of candy!! But seriously, do people not come to apartments to trick-or-treat? Well, I, an apartment liver, am very dissapointed that people evidently do not come to apartments to trick-or-treat. The only person I have to say trick-or-treat at our door is Jeremy, oh and he does say it, over and over again, and takes a piece of candy each time :). So these are pictures of me, being lonley by my trick-or-treat bowl, and then me being happy, because I now have all this chocolate to eat. (Please try and not look at how I look as though I have gained 50 lbs in these pictures. Its not true :) ). And this also shows how I have to much time on my hands!

So obviously, there is not much going on here, but I thought I needed to update about something. Work has been going ok. Last night I had my first night there all by myself! I was the only nurse for our unit. Yea, I don't really like that. It was quite boring. I did finish the book I was reading. I guess no one wanted to have babies at the end of October. Work has been really slow lately. I was scheduled to work Wednesday, and Thursday last week and got downstaffed both nights, which means I didn't go into work either night, because they didn't need me, and I don't get paid for either night. So, this next pay check is going to be missing 24 hours, therefore there will soon be a Fredin fund started if anyone would like to contribute :) haha. But those two nights off were nice, because Jeremy and I got to spend some time together and watch our favorite shows :).

The one exciting thing going on is Jeremy is entering his music video that he did, into a contest. It is the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) competition. His professor suggested he enter it because he thought that he had a very good chance of winning. There is a music video prize, and then an overall prize. I guess his professor told him he was pretty sure he would win the music video one, and had a good chance at the overall prize. If he does win, he wins some money, AND the most exciting thing! A trip to Florida in Febraury. There is an NRB conference in Florida that we get to go to if he wins. They pay for traveling expenses and the school would put us up in a hotel for three nights!! So now, I told him the pressure is on, because I have never been to Florida and would love to go!! I hope to make into the world travelers like John and Erika were, their first year of marriage ;). These other pictures are when Jeremy decided to make our apartment into a movie set :). He was shooting a public service announcement for school and so we had all sorts of lights and cameras around here for a while. He is very very good at what he does, and if any of you haven't seen the music video, you should. I am going to try and figure out a way to get it put up on here.

eh

Well I do need to update on our latest trip....home! But honestly right now, the only reason I am on here is because I cannot sleep. Surprise, surprise. It is now 2:45 in the morning and I am finally off one night of work, and I can't sleep. And I am totally frustrated because I was so glad that Jeremy and I can actually go to sleep at the same time together, and now he is out on the couch. Due to my sniffling (the dang indiana cold weather), and moving around constantly because I CAN'T SLEEP!! So now the one night that I can sleep with him, and he is on the couch. And I just realized how pathetic I sound, and I know I am really going to regret posting this in the morning, when I have had some sleep. (I think I know how Mel felt posting those posts when she was high from her hives meds :) ). Well now, I am sitting in bed, with the lamp on. I finally gave in and decided to stop laying there, not sleeping, and to try and do something that might make me tired. I read my Bible for a little bit, and that always helps, and now I thought I maybe should update on here. SO! Now that that has been a huge downer for everyone!!

Really things in Indiana are going relatively well, besides me not adjusting to working nights very well. As I'm sure you can tell. I don't have any problem staying up at night, or sleeping during the day, I just have a HUGE problem sleeping at night (like a regular person) on my days off. And I feel like Jeremy and I don't see eachother much, because we are always sleeping at different times. Hence, why I am so frustrated that once again we aren't sleeping together (ok, I am really done with the feeling sorry for myself). I just keep trying to be really thankful for the job I have. I really do have a job that I do enjoy, and it pays the bills. And it was such a blessing to find one in the town we live in that is such a short drive from home. I just need to adjust to the hours :). Hopefully that doesn't take too much longer. Because I feel like it has already been an eternity. On another note, Jeremy is doing well. School is going well for him, and he was very grateful for his fall break, because he was starting to feel very un-motivated to do anymore school work. He is taking 16 hours this semester, so he is pretty overwhelmed most of the time, with his homework and stuff. Tonight, when I go back to work he is filming a short public service announcement. I'm not sure what it is about, but I know that this is a part of his school he is really enjoying.

Fall break was wonderful. We were home last weekend, praise the Lord. Seriously. It was time for us to be home for a while. We had a nice little break. We were there from Friday evening through Tuesday. The homesickness, was starting to get pretty bad :). But we had an amazing time getting to see all of our family and friends!! As many of you know right before we came home it got pretty cold here, and even snowed! So the morning we left, I was bundled up in my sweater, boots and jeans and we headed to the airport. Well our plane going through Chicago got cancelled (I won't go into why I now boycot the Chicago O'Hare airport, and will no longer fly through there), but luckily it was able to be re-routed in almost the same amount of time. But that meant we flew through Houston!! So yes, me in my sweater and boots were a little warm in the 92 degrees that houston had for us, versus the 30 degrees when we left here!! :) But we got home, and only about an hour later than scheduled!
Saturday was filled with family time, for the most part. We went to G&G Butch's for dinner and got to see everyone. Erika came back that same weekend also, so it was GREAT to see here! We hadn't seen her since our wedding. Which seems like forever ago. So we had a wonderful time out there. We also celebrated Dathan's birthday. Then Sunday we got a chance to go out and see mom and dad's house they are building, which is coming along very nicely! We loved it! It is going to look amazing when it is done. Then Monday, I got a chance to go up to Wesley and see some of my co-workers, and then I got my hair done, and then we had dinner with Jeremy's side of the family. We had ribs, which I can actually say I don't think I had ever eaten before. They were very good, and we had a great time with them. Amber was very excited to see her Uncle Jeremy. We had fun playing the Disney Scene It with them. Pretty sure, Amber could have been on her own team and beat us all. Jeremy and her were on the same team, as well as me, but I can assure you that I was absolutely no help to them :).

Jeremy and I went to go and see "The Prestige" tonight. It was very good, and I would recommend it. It is directed by one of Jeremy's favorite directors, so we had to go! :) But sometimes, I don't enjoy his taste in movies very much, but I can tell that this one was excellent.
Well I think I might try and sleep again. Love you all! Here are some pretty pictures of the campus trees. These trees are definitely way better than the ones in Kansas.

Weekend with my sister....

Jeremy and I had a wonderful weekend with Erin!! She got into Indy late on Thursday night and was here until this morning. She it was nice to have her here for two full days. Unlike mom and dad's trip which was extremely short! We had such a good time catching up. She is possibly the busiest person I know, and is so graceful and managing all of it! Since she only gets about 4-6 hours of sleep a night while she was here she got a full 8 hours both nights. Hopefully that caught her up a little on her sleep, because she will probably be up late tonight doing homework, since none of that got done while she was here :).

Friday we all got up about noon (since we didn't go to bed until 3), and very slowly got around. Jeremy had class at two , and Erin and I made a trip to Wal-Mart during that time. We went to buy stuff to make t-shirts for Jodi's game on Saturday. Jodi didn't know Erin was coming, so we were surprising her.......again :). So after getting all of our supplies we went on a shopping spree!! Jeremy had to go to some Jewish temple for a class, so Erin and I went to Ft Wayne to do some shopping :). Jeremy thought it was probably better if we went without him anyways :). So, our trip was very productive. We both came out with some very good deals. So we then met Jeremy back up at the apartment and started making our shirts for Jodi's game. We had such a great time, and it was another project that kept us up until 3 again :). But these were the best homemade shirts I had ever seen. As I'm sure you can tell by the pictures :).

Saturday, Erin and I went to Maurices, here in town, in a last attempt to find her some jeans. That was unsuccessful. So then we set out for Jo's game. We wore our shirts with pride, right in the middle of the Indiana Wesleyan cheering crowd. It was their homecoming, so there was quite a crowd. But it was definitely worth it, Jodi was really excited to see Erin. She had no clue, we were coming. So then we went out to dinner with her and the team after the game, and then came back to Huntington. Once we got back here, we had two intense rounds of "Friends, Scene It?" And then we watched "In Good Company", and went to bed.

So.....the weekend was full of stuff to do. We had an amazing time!!! We miss you sooo much Erin!! It was really sad to take her to the airport this morning. I threatned to not take her, but that didn't get me too far. We can't wait to see you in one week when we are home!! We love you and we miss you so much already! Come back soon!

Trip to Michigan

We spent this past weekend in Lansing, MI. Josh and Tessia had Tessia's cousing wedding, and since they were going to be so close, we went up on Friday and stayed until Sunday with them. We had a great time!! It was great to see them again. We miss them soooo much! Tom and Kristy (and the band) live in Grand Rapids, so Friday night, after getting to Lansing, we drove to Grand Rapids to see their house and where they live. We hadn't seen any of them since our wedding, so it was great to see them! We are really enjoying all the little mini vacations we have been able to take to the surrounding states. It is kind of fun being within an hour from 3 different states, especially since I have never been in this area of the US.
Saturday morning we had planned to get up early to Tessia and I could go shopping, but that didn't happen. So instead we went for brunch at Cracker Barrell with Tessia's parents. While there, Tessia and I were successfull in convincing Jeremy to stay another night, into Sunday. Originally we were planning on coming home on Saturday, but Jeremy couldn't say no to us :). So while Josh and Tessia were at the wedding, Tom and Kristy drove to Lansing and we got to hang out with them. Actually, Jeremy and Tom stayed at the hotel and played games on their computers (and we don't want to know what else), and Kristy and I went shopping! So that was fun, and pretty successfull. We both came out of American Eagle after getting very good deals. Then we all went and picked up Josh and Tessia from the wedding reception and went to eat at BD's Mongolian Barbeque. Why do we not have that in Wichita?!?! It is amazing! So eventually the night had to come to an end, and Tom and Kristy went back home, and then we pretty much just went to bed.
We had a great weekend!! It was great to hang out. I think we realized this was the first time we had all hung out as 3 married couples. So anyways, we really miss them!! Hopefully Tom and Kristy are going to come down to Indiana soon, and then we will see Josh and Tessia again in a couple weeks when we are home. And now, once again after an amazing weekend, we are back to reality, working and going to school again. But in just a few days Erin is flying in and will be here for a few days, and we are really looking forward to that! We can't wait to see everyone in just a couple weeks!!

more birkey time!

The last few days have been pretty busy. Saturday we went up to Goshen to see the Birkeys! Lowell and Dianne were up there seeing Jodi and going to the MCC Relief sale. Melisa was there too! So we spent the day at the MCC Relief sale and we had the most wonderful food!! Kansas has to get this Nelson's Chicken. It is the best chicken I have ever had in my life. We all ate a half a chicken. It was amazing! Then we got apple fritters, also a new amazing find. And lastly elephant ears. Those were very good also. And by the time we got to the egg rolls that are supposed to be very good, they were sold out! But needless to say we had some great food. Then Jodi, Melisa, Jeremy and I went to Jodi's house so that we could see where she lives. After that we went to their aunt and uncles house for the rest of the evening. It was great to spend time with them! We really miss them!

Then Sunday was my first night of work. I have been orienting on day shift, and now I am going to night shift, which is the shift I got hired on for. I have been really nervous about going to nights, but my first night really went off well! It was a pretty slow night, but I managed to stay awake the whole night and really never got tired! So I think I am going to adjust ok to working nights again. Its not the best shift, but it will be fine. This is a picture of me leaving for my first night.

After sleeping a little on Monday, Jeremy and I went back to Goshen for a little more Birkey time before they left. Jodi had a game so we all went to that. That was a lot of fun. She had 2 goals!! Lets just say, by the end of the game we were feeling really sorry for the other team. The score would have been 13-0. But the reset the score at half time to make it not look quite as awful. At half it was 9-0, and the end of the game was 4-0. It was pretty amusing. So these are some pictures of us at the game. We went to Dairy Queen for ice cream after the game and then Jeremy and I had to come back to real life. Now I have to go back to work and Jeremy back to school. Reality is wonderful!! :) Look at that sexy number 4!

Thankful

Well today has been a marvelous day! God has answered so many prayers all in a matter of like 6 hours. I have been trying to get my work schedule switched around so that Jeremy and I can come home over his fall break. Well I had gotten one lady to switch with me one day that weekend, but no one else was willing to do the other day. Things just seemed like they kept going wrong, and that I wasn't going to get that day off, and I really really wanted to come home. And this morning my boss called me and asked about the day I had asked for PTO. And I told her that no one was able to switch with me, so she said well we could move this day here and this day here. Would that work? I was like, yes!! That would work wonderfully! So after that, that left me with 7 days off in a row!! And now we can for sure come home :). (This is going to be the weekend of October 13th, so everybody better be available for us to see them!!! :) ).

NEXT, I was going to get our plane tickets right away, because we had our eye on a couple tickets and the prices were really good, so I went to the airlines website and the ones we were looking at were still there. So that was good. And I still had my ticket from last February when I was planning to come up and see Jeremy and then got sick and couldn't. So I called American Airlines to get that ticket credited to our purchase today. And it actually went over really smoothly, so at the end we only had a little over $100 to pay on both of our tickets. Which is wonderful. It went on the credit card, because, we haven't gotten a full pay check yet, and the one coming up is not going to be a full pay check either. So I thought we will pay that as the money starts coming in :). But it doesn't really matter because I am going home! :) YEA! Anyways, so I go to get the mail, and there are 3 bills. Not yea. Two from State Farm and one from our energy company. Ok, so the one from state farm said that we had no balance, and the other envelope from state farm was a check for a little over $100!! And the energy bill was a whopping $16. So then I realized how I have had no faith lately, and that God really is taking care of us. We had been praying about these things, but today just made me realize, stop worrying, and just have faith. So I am going to be working on that.

Anyways.......I just had to post how exciting my day was today. AND I got gas for $2.15/gallon (only because of my awesome Kroger discount). So thats exciting too. One last thing----we had a dinner last night with Jeremy's friends. That was really funy. I had met them once before but I really kind of got to know them last night. I didn't take my camera otherwise I would have pictures for everyone. I didn't want them to think I was a crazy camera woman yet :). So the three girls I met are awesome and really fun. I think we are all going to get along really well. And it was fun to see Jeremy with his friends. So anyways, that is also an answer to prayer because now I actually have friends here, which is kind of exciting. Me and the girls are having a Grey's Anatomy party this Thursday for the first episode of Grey's!! So that will be a good time. Well I think that is all. OH and I got to talk to on of my best friends Tessia today!! I hadn't talked to her in way to long! So that made the day even better :).

nothing new here

Well not a whole lot new is going on here. Jeremy has been staying busy with school and my horribly boring orientation has been keeping me busy! But that is finally over! This hospital I am working for WAY over does their orientation process. Since that is over, I can finally start working on my floor again. I am off for a couple of days and then I work this weekend on Saturday and Sunday. Starting this weekend I work days for one week and then I go to nights! Again, I have to work nights. I am starting to wonder how I can do this since I have been going to bed about 9:30 every night. So my goal is to start staying up later, so that it is not a huge shock to my system when I have to work from 7pm-7am.

We did go and visit on church on Sunday. It is called Blackhawk Ministries. I believe it is a Baptist church. A girl I met in orientation suggested we try it out, when I told her what we were looking for she thought we might like it. It is in Ft Wayne, and all the way on the north end, so it was about a 45 minute drive :(. But it wasn't to bad. I don't know if we will go back there just because we don't want to drive that far, but the worship was pretty decent. We weren't to impressed with the message. Half way into the message I was wondering if he was going to keep giving us his opinion or if he was going to tie any scripture in with it. So I think we will keep looking, and hopefully a little closer to where we live. So anyways, keep us in your prayers for that. It would be nice to find a church where we can meet some more people.

Tonight Jeremy and I went to Ft. Wayne, when he was done with class to do some shopping. During orientation this past week I was supposed to dress business casual. But I didn't, because I realized I really don't have anything to dress business casual, in. So the goal was to find some khakis or nice dress pants. So we went to this shopping place called Jefferson Point. It is really really nice. This place is what they should have done with New Market Square in Wichita. It is a gorgeous place. It is kind of all built in a circle and it is like one big courtyard with all the stores on the outside. I actually probably should not have figured out this place was there because it is the closest shopping to us, and it has GAP, American Eagle, Old Navy, Barnes and Noble, The Buckle, Victorias Secret.......and I could go on and on :). They have a really nice food court that we ate at. So anyways, I found my khakis at The Gap and then Jeremy finally used his Barnes and Noble gift cards from last Christmas. I also got a new planner, a journal and a new Karen Kingsbury book (to hold me over until the new Harry Potter book comes out) :). Anyways.........

So that is pretty much the extent of our lives here right now. Sorry there was nothing more interesting to update with! By the way, hopefully Jeremy and I are going to come home over his fall break. That is the weekend of October 13th. Right now, I am scheduled to work that weekend, but I have found someone to work for me on Saturday and I just need someone on Friday. So if everyone could say a little prayer that would be great! I am really looking forward to coming home for a little while. We really miss everyone.

O-H-I-O

Well, I have now been as far east as Ohio!! I am really excited about this. I used to only be able to say I had been as far east as Indiana, but now I have been as far east as Ohio! :)

Jeremy and I decided to finally get out of the house today and go to Jodi's soccer game! (All we do is really sit around in the house, so it was nice to get out for a while.) As I was writing Jodi's soccer schedule down in my planner, I saw that there was a game in Bluffton. And I thought, well that is really close to us! Bluffton, IN is only like 20 minutes away! Well I was mistaken. Her game was in Bluffton, OH, and luckily we figured this out before we left :). But we wanted to go anyway so it was about a 2 hour drive but it was well worth it! So we got to her game and it had just started. She didn't know we were coming so we were really excited to surprise her. The look on her face when she saw us was priceless! Her eyes got huge and her mouth dropped open. So we got to see her at half-time for a bit and then for a while after the game. Needless to say she was totally excited to see us, as we were to see her!! I have really missed her! She IS one of my favorite sisters :). So anyways.....we all got to chat for a while after the game and catch up.

Well nothing else too exciting has been going on here. I have had orientation all week which made the week drag by, and Jeremy continued with his classes. Those are going well for him. Last night Jeremy and I went out to eat, and then when we got home we figured out we can hear the high school marching band and the announcers at the football games on friday nights! But that about is the extent of the excitement here!

Here is a picture of the Jodi and I the day of Jeremy and I's wedding, and then a picture of her today cheering on her team! (It was bright outside) :)
