This Christmas, out at grandma and grandpa Butch's house was a little
more eventful than we all would have hoped, but it was great none the less. We went out Saturday morning, because I was supposed to be to work by three that afternoon. It started snowing pretty much right when we got there...and it never stopped! It was a beautiful day to have Christmas with the family, but then it got to the point of, are we going to be able to get out of here? It was so windy and snowing so hard there were very high drifts. And out in the country there is no one to clear the roads?!? :) So around 1:30 dad, and uncle Joel went out in Joel's truck to scope the roads out, and came back and decided we
all needed to leave and we would caravan home. Otherwise we might not be able to get out of grandma and grandpa's. So Joel led, and made a path with his truck and we all tried to follow in that path. A drive that would normally take 15 minutes from grandma and grandpa's to mom and dad's house in Valley Center, took us well over one hour. It was definitely by the grace of God that our car
never got stuck somewhere along the way. We couldn't even see but 30 feet in front of us the whole drive home. Well by the time we got back to mom and dads I was already almost one hour late to work, and they told me not to worry about coming in. So I got the evening off, and Jeremy and I stayed snowed in at mom and dad's!! We had a great time, playing games most of the evening (after we got mom's car un-stuck right outside the driveway). We are now looking forward to three more Christmas celebrations!
